Diluent for Diamond Polishing and Abrasive Pastes
It is used to create an appropriate constant greasy layer between the carrier and the material being processed during polishing or abrasive works on metals.
Applications
The diluent creates a lubricating coating between the object and the tool. A soft abrasive medium, such as felt, should be used. The product should be used sparingly. Small amounts open up the greased surface of the felt during processing, thereby preventing the felt from burning. Adding too much diluent to diamond pastes will reduce the effectiveness of polishing and abrasion.
